Mei Tsang is a senior associate who focuses her practice on patent and trademark prosecution and counseling clients regarding enforcement and defense strategies in the areas of trademark, trade dress, patent, domain names, and copyright litigation. Mei specifically prosecutes patents in the areas of mechanical, electrical and biotechnology.

Primarily, Mei has assisted on litigation teams in the federal courts, including appearances in trademark, copyright, and patent litigations. Mei has also appeared in cases before Illinois and California district courts.  Within the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mei has handled proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.

Mei also has substantial experience in IP counseling and licensing, including counseling multi-national clients.  In addition, Mei has experience in IP due diligence.

Previous Experience

Before joining the firm, Mei worked as an associate at Rutan & Tucker.  After graduating from law school, Mei worked as an associate at Sonnenschein, Nath and Rosenthal.  During law school, Mei worked as a summer associate at DLA Piper.  Prior to law school, Mei worked as a field sales manager for Curative Health Care.
